PHILOCHRONY OF CLOCKS

The philochroanalisis applied to clocks is to determine what is the duration, what is the becoming and what is the time in each of these devices.

1- The hourglass
In this device the whole sand is the duration, the continuous fall of the sand from the upper to the lower bulb is the becoming and the amount of sand that contains the lower bulb is the past time. The amount of sand containing the upper bulb is the future time.

2- The clock hands
The complete graduated dial is the duration (12 hours), the movement of the hands is the becoming and the time at a given moment is time.

3. The digital clock
Similar to above, the 12 or 24 hours is the duration, the oscillating circuit is the becoming and the time at a given moment is time.

4- In the video playback we can see the total duration of the same (eg 5:16). The succession of images and sound is the becoming and a timer is going to indicating the elapsed time.

All these cases can be represented by the straight line of time or philochron line:

....... Becoming
----------> ---------- 10 (Duration)
............. 5 (Time)

PS:
The duration is the not chronological measurement of becoming. In the duration we express the term from beginning to end of beings and phenomena in the reality. It also determines how long it takes an event to occur.

THE THEORY OF THE BECOMING-TIME DUALITY

The Theory of becoming-time duality is based on the philochron table and trilogy.

Philochron table:

ELEMENT ........... MAGNITUDE ......... MEASUREMENT
space .................. extension ........... length, area and volume
matter ................ mass .................. weight
matter ................ energy ................ work and power
matter ................ becoming ............ time and duration

The universe consists of two elements: space and matter, plus their properties. Becoming is the inherent property of matter and bodies to experience sequential changes. It is the magnitude of change.

Philochron trilogy:

1- Time is the chronological measurement of becoming.
2- Time is the activity that occurred between two sequential moments.
3- Time is the continuous succession of irreversible moments.

The postulates of this theory are:

1- Time is the straight line connecting two sequential moments in the becoming.
2- All points coexist in space, not in time.
3- Time is the dimension of becoming, not space.

Note: The concept of becoming-time duality has become a theory through the theoretical progress in Philochrony.

MEASUREMENTS OF BECOMING

Measurements of becoming* are time and duration. These measurements respond to the questions: How long does/did It last? and When did It happen? respectively.

Time is the chronological measurement of becoming. In the time we determine the moment in what a fact occurs within an ordered series of events. Examples of time are the time (clock) and date (calendar).

The duration is the not chronological measurement of becoming. In the duration we determine the permanence of beings and phenomena in reality. We also determine how long an event takes to occur. Examples of duration are timers and the age of a person.

Time and duration are typical of the macrocosm. As the quantum becoming is governed by chance, duration and time are not valid in the microcosm.

* Becoming is the inherent property of matter and bodies to experience sequential changes.

TIME: ABSTRACT CONCEPT

Time is the perception of becoming, as well as the color is the perception of the wavelength of visible spectrum (light). Both are objective, but differ in that the color is particular and the time is abstract. A certain amount of time "t" is the product of an objective abstraction. The becoming-time duality is analogous to the wavelength-color duality (light). We already know that the first one is called duration.

The interpretation of the colors and their relation to emotions are subjective. Emotions can also affect time. Time seems to pass faster when we are happy or distracted than when we are sad or waiting for something.

When we think about an hour, we do not remember everything that it happened in that period, but we abstract the distance or interval between the beginning and the end of the hour. Time is an abstract but objective distance; the space is concrete. With age it makes easier to us to abstract longer time periods each time.

MENTAL MAP OF TIME

The branch of the clocks corresponds to the field of the Physics. The branch of the calendar corresponds to the Astronomy. The branch of the concepts corresponds to the Philosophy. And the branch of theories corresponds to the Philochrony.

THE NINTH INTELLIGENCE

If we have 8 intelligences, according to Howard Gardner's theory, we can add one more: the philochrony. This intelligence is widely used by historians, anthropologists, cosmologists and futurists.

WHAT IS TO PHILOCHRONIZE?

Philochronize is the verb that encompasses a series of actions by which we synchronize our minds in the time. Philochronize is the meditation that focuses on the passage of time. These actions are classified into three groups:

1 - When we see the clock time or the date on the calendar.
2 - When we plan our activities of the day or the month.
3 - When we listen soft music.

The benefits of philochronizing are:

a- To orient ourselves in time and to be in harmony with the natural cycles.
b- To use conveniently our free time and to know the precise moment in that we must realize our commitments.
c- To maintain a harmonious rhythm of our activities.
d- The soft music relaxes our mind and eliminates stress.

INTELLIGENCES AND ABILITIES

The Theory of multiple intelligences is wrong because we must differentiate between intelligence and abilities. This theory is very kind: Everybody is intelligent.

INTELLIGENCES
Verbal/Linguistic - Word Smart
Logical/Mathematical - Logic/Math Smart
Visual/Spatial - Art/Space Smart

ABILITIES
Bodily/Kinesthetic - Body Smart (The ability to use bodies and hands with great skill.)
Musical - Music Smart
Interpersonal - People Smart
Intrapersonal - Self Smart
Naturalist - Nature Smart (Awareness of the cycle of living world)
